Help with Downloading and Installing things from my site.
Everything on my site requires an unzipping program, such as Winzip.

Themes - Download what theme you want, double click the zip file and it will install itself in C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes.If you do not have the Plus! folder you need a Theme Manager.Click Here for Desktop Architect. It is a Free program.

To apply a theme on your computer, right click anywhere on your desktop, choose Properties, then Themes and on the top dropdown box choose the theme you want to apply.Click Apply then click OK.

Error missing MSVCP60.dll - This is a required file for installing themes and often gets deleted by     mistake. If you get this error,Click Here to download it in a self installing exe.

Sounds not working - You are missing the correct codecs.Click Here to download it in a self installing exe.

Not a valid theme file - Almost all the time this is caused by a Download Accelerator.Shut your download accelerator off and try downloading again.

Theme caused an invalid page fault in module Themes .exe at 014F:0040ABC6 - Click Here to download the self installing themes.exe.

Windows XP themes - For my themes to work with Windows XP you must put XP in Windows Classic Mode.To do that, right click your desktop, choose properties, appearance then classic style and apply. You also must have a Theme Manager (Desktop Architect) installed.

Screensavers - Double click the zip or exe file and it will self install to C:\Windows or C:\Windows System.

Logos - Double click the zipped file to unzip them to a folder of your choice.I save mine to a folder where I I can easily access them so I do not interfere with Windows originals.I just make a New Folder in My Documents, that way they are easy to change and delete when your tired of them.If you need a program to install them,Click Here.

IE Skins - Double click the exe file and they will self install to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ Bitmaps. You must have a program installed on your computer for them to work.Scroll down the page for Internet Explorer 5 Toolbar Wallpaper.

Hotbars - Hotbar is very smart, just download them and Hotbar takes care of everything.

WinAmp Skins - Most of my winamp skins are in zip format. To install those, double click the zip file and save in C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins.If they are exe format, just double click and they will self install to C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins.
To apply a skin to your winamp, open winamp, click the dot in the upper left corner, select Skins from the menu, then choose the name of the skin you want on.

Wallpaper - Double click the zip file and save to your folder of choice.

Stationery - My stationery is packaged two different ways, either eml or exe.For eml, unzip to a folder of your choice .To use just double click the little envelope you see and it will be ready to start writing your email. If its exe it will self install to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Share\Stationery.To use it,open Outlook Express, click the little down arrow next to Create Mail,Select Stationery and choose which one you want to use now your ready to go.

Cursors - Unzip to a folder of your choice, just remember where they are.To change your cursors to the new ones,go to Start,Settings,Control Panel and double click Mouse.Click the Pointers tab and that is where you can change them.

Icons - Unzip to a folder of your choice, just remember where they are.To change the basic 5 (My Computer,Network,Recycle Full,Recycle Empty,My Documents) right click anywhere on your desktop, choose Properties then the Effects tab, that is where you change those. For all others, just right click the one you want to change, choose Properties  and that is where you change them.

Icons won't stay where you put them - Icon Restore gives you the ability to save the placement of your desktop icons and restore them to their saved placement any time they get moved. Simply place your icons wherever you want them on your desktop, right click My Computer (or any system icon) and left click on 'save icon layout' from the pop up menu. If your icons ever get moved because your computer entered safe mode or you changed the screen resolution, right click My Computer and left click on 'restore icon layout' from the pop up menu.
